CHAMELEON HEADLIGHT VINYL
COLOR
The film is not the easiest material to work with. Something overlooked and not explained is that there are two pieces of clear protective film that needs to be removed from the front and back of the vinyl. I completely overlooked this step my first try and it is easy to miss. It was only by accident that I discovered this protective layer on the back. Because of the shape of the headlight, you have to cut the vinyl in multiple sections on order to apply it to the headlight. This is all trial and error and it is extremely difficult to get a perfect fit with no imperfections. A heat gun, and squeegee are absolutely necessary. Thankfully brap shop gives you a fair amount of extra materials so you can make mistakes and adjust. There are no specific directions so it's up to you to figure out. Once satisfied with the application I will say that it does look very good compared to just the stock. I use a very strong led light bulb as I do a lot of night riding in rural areas and the fancy looking headlights (angel eyes etc) are for show and not for any type of serious night riding. Your talking about 3000 lumen compared to 10, 000 lumen. All in all this film is a great way to give your bike a custom look without sacrificing a string light.
